After the unofficial Korg Electribe 2s "Hacktribe" firmware i decided to try another time this kind of machine upgrade. This is the turn of the Korg Volca Sample "Pajen" firmware that adds some interesting funtionalities like Bar Filters (permits to play a single pattern on a longer cycle, for example every 2 or 4 bars) that allow to make longer sequences or the "Probability" (you can add to every step a value from 0 to 100 that represent the probability of a note to be played) that permits to create variations and a semi-generative approach to the sequences. This last function is the one i used the most in this 2Step / Uk Garage jam, expecially on drums. All the sounds are loaded by me , all the basses and some drums are synthetized from scratch using basic waveforms, the pads or melodic sounds are made with basic waves and single note flutes / winds / voices samples.
