In a prime case of maestro pulling power Gustavo Dudamel has secured for the New York Philharmonic the world premiere of an unplayed score by Maurice Ravel.‘Prélude et danse’ from Ravel’s early work Sémiramis exists in manuscript at the Bibliothèque nationale de France. The score will be performed on 13 March of this year during the New York Philharmonic’s Ravel 2025 anniversary concert at the David Geffen Hall, and repeated on three subsequent nights.
