Boz Scaggs brought home a Grammy for Best R&B song in 1977 with “Lowdown”. A soft rock classic that now is a yacht rock classic. Boz had session musicians backing him here… some of the same musicians that formed Toto. Hip hop fans know this from MF Doom who stripped out the vocals and had the beat, “Black Snake Root” on his Special Herbs beat tapes.
This song is timeless. Put it on and you can’t help but feel a certain way…
