
Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso exited the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) last month, but the bloc agreed to allow access for nationals from the countries. However, Niger did not reciprocate, disrupting trade and movement. Economic experts warned that if other ECOWAS countries respond with similar restrictions, trade disruptions could worsen further.
