I've covered this same story a couple weeks ago. Since then, more good news! The boy and his grandmother got the help they need.
His father died and his mother remarried leaving him alone with his grandmother. However, he had to drop out of school because they didn't have enough money. He was trying to find recycling scraps to sell when a man approached him. He took the boy to get hamburgers. For the very first time. He's never eaten hamburgers before. Then, he took the boy to get shoes.
After sharing the story many concerned fans started asking about the boy and donating money to help the boy. So the man ended up going back to visit him with gifts. The grandmother even tried to pay them but of course, they turned her down.
They helped renovate their house. The house shown at the beginning was where they were living and another house also in bad shape was abandoned by the grandmother's son, the boy's uncle but she loved her son too much to move back into the house thinking he would come back. Let's hope he doesn't after they just fix the house up.
Now the boy will be able to go back to school. He has a lot of concerned fans who want him to grow up healthy and go back to school. It's amazing what one video can do to change this boy's life for the better. He's currently 14 years old and should be in high school.
