During an interview with the TODAY Show called "mgk on 'Cliché' Pick Up Lines & Life as a Cat Dad | 8 Before 8," mgk talked "orpheus," which is the last song on his new album "lost americana." mgk also said he always likes his last songs on his albums.

The question was "Are there any songs on the album that you are most proud of or especially excited for fans to hear?"

"I always like my last songs," mgk said. "The end songs are always fun to me. Probably a bad word to use because they're always sad. This one is also that. The last song on the album is called Orpheus, based off of the Greek myth. I mean, it's really based off my life, however, very parallel. So enjoy, or don't, or cry."

So, mgk's "orpheus" is one of the tearjerkers pete davidson mentioned during mgk's Twitch telethon.
