It is no secret that I like making money.
Recently, I’ve noticed that some youtubers get a whoopload of views by ranking historical figures in a tier list, based on some arbitrary metric such as “how successful they were”. Now, I think this is completely stupid…but hey, I want muh youtube views, so I’m gonna do it: In this video I’ve put together a list of pirate captains, and I’ll rank them based on how succesful I consider them.
What does “successful” mean? Whatever I feel like at the moment!
Ofcourse, there were a lot of pirate captains active during the field I cover, that being european colonial sea roving in the 1630-1730 timeframe…so I can’t be bothered to literally cover all of them - which is impossible, anyway. So I’ll just cover the ones I thought would be interesting to talk about! This will be an opportunity for me to talk about some less-known interesting Captains, and for you to learn about them.
