Artcore is a visual arts charity organisation where we provide FREE arts workshop to all age groups and artistic opportunities for budding artists.

The Silence of Growing Things” residency in Bengaluru, India, provided a unique opportunity for two UK artists to delve into the historical tapestry and botanical wonders of Bengaluru or the “City of Gardens” in India. Hosted by Suresh Jayaram, art historian, writer, and director of the art space - 1 Shanthi Road, the program offered a profound exploration of Bengaluru’s green legacy, with a focus on the remarkable work of Mr. Krumbiegel.

The video is an interview with Arjuna Keshvani - Ham sharing her experience during the residency and further insights.

During the residency at 1 Shanthi Road, the artists-in-residence found themselves immersed in a world of botanical splendor and artistic exploration. Surrounded by the verdant embrace of Bengaluru’s gardens, they delved into research, creative experimentation, and collaboration. This residency not only nurtured artistic growth but also facilitated a profound cultural exchange. Through encounters with local artists and the guidance of Suresh Jayaram, the artists gained insights into Bengaluru’s rich botanical heritage and vibrant artistic community. “The Silence of Growing Things” became a journey of discovery, where the artists explored the quiet beauty and creative energy of Bengaluru, leaving with a deeper appreciation for its botanical and artistic legacy.
