Come with me as I spend what could be Laylat al-Qadr, the holiest night of Ramadan, in a hidden, timeless village in North Cyprus — the home of the late Shaykh Nazim, one of the most influential spiritual leaders of our time, with over 40 million students worldwide.

Now led by his sons, this community continues to live out his legacy — embracing faith, simplicity, and unity in a way that feels like stepping back 1400 years. From traditional Ottoman clothing to natural, homemade food, everything here is untouched by the modern world.

I was honored to meet Shaykh Mehmet and Shaykh Bahauddin, share iftar with their family, and pray all 20 rakats of Taraweeh in a mosque filled with love, light, and remembrance of Allah. The sense of multicultural unity was unreal — people from Kazakhstan, Egypt, Brazil, Turkey, Germany, the UK, and more all gathered as one ummah.

This night left me in awe — and maybe, just maybe, we were blessed to experience Laylat al-Qadr together. 🌙
