The man claimed that the child on his back is his daughter. She was 13 years old. The woman went and buy them some snacks and food that's when another passerby stopped her to tell her that she find it odd too. They've seen the child walk before so they knew the child was not disabled.
Hoping to find answers, the woman gave the man the bag of drink and snacks to establish some good rapport. But when asked, the old man just said that he doesn't feel safe enough to let his daughter off his back.
Knowing they were waiting for the 5 AM train for a cheaper price, the woman offered to give them a ride. Partly to find answers.
At home, the man showed the woman the girls' birth certificate. They were indeed father and daughter. It turns out, after his friend's daughter was abducted from home, he became very paranoid and makes sure to keep his daughter with him at all times.
He's very loving. Spending $10k on her teeth, and when she wants something he makes sure to get it for him even if he has to eat less. He's in his early 60s and the girl is 13. He clearly loves her a lot but let's hope he move on from his trauma and let her live her life more independently.
