Ringo has several links to The Band. They first backed Bob Dylan as The Hawks and were with him on his notorious electric world tour in 1965/'66.
By the time of their first album, Music From the Big Pink, they had become The Band.
Various members of the Band appeared on a couple of Ringo albums, "Ringo" and "Goodnight Vienna".
Ringo returned the compliment and appeared on the Band's legendary swansong concert - "The Last Waltz".
