The First Law of Thermodynamics (Internal Energy) states that heat is a form of energy, and thermodynamic processes are therefore subject to the principle of conservation of energy.

the first law of thermodynamics states that energy can be transformed from one from to another, but can be created or destroyed

INTERNAL ENERGY: (00:47)
The sum of all forms of molecular enrgies (Kinetic and potential) of a substance is termed as its internal energy. In study of thermodynamics, usually ideal gas is considered as a working substance. The molecules of an ideal gas is mere mass points which exert no force on one on another. So the internal energy of an ideal gas system is generally the translational kinetic energy of its molecules,
