The first single off of Ungfell’s most recent full-length release “Es grauet” shows them maturing into a group capable of crafting a formidable musical and lyrical narrative, whilst never losing sight of what is one of the most important yet all too often neglected aspects of extreme metal music in general: crafting an engaging song that sticks in the listener’s head. “Tyfels Antlitz (Wie e Huerä zwei Chind empfanget)” manages to be instantly catchy, yet pulls the listener back for repeated listens due to the band's highly engaging songwriting style.
