Throughout the many years of my dance career I have always wanted to do something to inspire the youth in my community. My vision was to bring the youth together to allow them to celebrate in the beautiful culture of breakin (breakdancing), to embrace and thank their supportive parents and to introduce their friends and family to our events and what we do. I was inspired to create an event that could encompass all of these ideas and I named it The Heart of the City. I wanted to offer a free event with free workshops to allow any child the opportunity to participate without having to worry about the financial constraints in order to pursue their dream to dance. My main goal is to be able to bring this event to every city in Florida and to have the participants continue to spread what they have learned and to pass on this tradition to other's in different cities all over the country.
