In this episode I go over a strategy to composing contemporary rhythms on congas when playing as the primary drummer or percussionist. In other words there is no drum set and we are transcribing contemporary drum set parts/ideas to the congas. My apologies for the legibility (or lack thereof) of the whiteboard writing. My marker was not dark enough. Next week I plan to return to the "Hybrid drum setup method" series. A quick note: the music theory written on the board in this video is a bit unorthodox however it is done so in order to introduce some theory to those who may still be new to it.
