Inspired by the symbolism of The Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadows — the fictional 17th-century book at the heart of the neo-noir horror thriller film The Ninth Gate — this album unearths ancient secrets and forbidden knowledge.

*II — ESOTERICISM:* Esotericism was an intensive one-week project and follow-up to my Shadow Work EP. This album delves into themes of esotericism, mysticism, and mythological symbolism. Synthesizing pummeling rhythmic beats with the power of industrial, the shadows of dark ambient, and the spirit of black metal, Esotericism is a natural continuation of the Obsidian One sound. This album is dedicated to the free spirit who defies the currents of convention, forging their own path of authenticity and truth.

*I — SHADOW WORK:* This music was created as part of my own shadow work. The entire project took me about three weeks to complete. This EP merges the raw power of electro-industrial with the relentless intensity of black and death metal, at times beginning in the shadowy depths of dark ambient before surging into heavier, more aggressive territory. The purpose of this project was to explore and express my artistic and musical vision. This work is dedicated to all adult survivors of childhood abuse, neglect, and trauma.
