Now, it’s August 2021 and I was scared. Where the **** am I going, why am I doing this to myself, surely there’s something going wrong with me there, I have never lived on my own and now you’re going to start doing that in a country you know nothing about…
It’s early September 2021. I have more or less settled in. My apartment that I rented is on the busiest nightlife street in the country, shame that I don’t like partying that much. But it’s not as bad as I thought actually.
It’s November 2021. Woah this is actually quite cool. Who would’ve thought you would make many cool friends here! And the studying isn’t that bad either. I can do this!
It’s December 2021. I should’ve done this way earlier. This is so cool! Hanging out with my friends every day, playing football, going to the pub (which I actually enjoy now), going on trips… This is amazing!
It’s January 2021. Wait, it’s over already? That quickly?
My Erasmus opened my eyes. It made me a more confident and openminded man. It made me more social and independent. And it made me discover my love for traveling.
If you have the chance of going on an Erasmus, do it! But be aware that it will never be as great as that first time after that.
