Slightly shorter piece this week. I made some really nice outdoor recordings of these ideas but each version was scuppered by either leaf blowers, camera failure or a full hard drive. This version is an amalgamation of two separate takes but it seems to flow.
I always get lots of questions about the tunings I use so this one is Gcgcgcd
basically open c with an added low g (it's a 7string remember) but I lower the high e down to d. I got this idea from a banjo tuning called 'sawtooth.'
I call it "Celtic sketches' because I do at times experinment with Celtic idea. Overall it's about as Celtic as Bill Evans/Miles Davis flamenco sketches are flamenco.
