When is the best time to prune trees?
Any time between early spring and fall, but an even better time is the late fall or winter when your tree is dormant.
Often clients think when a tree is green and growing that’s when I need to fix it. And when it’s snowy and cold, I can put it off.
Arborists have optimal access to your trees during the dormant season:
*Limbs are lighter and easier to handle
*Leafless structures are also easier to see
Also, fresh pruning cuts during the dormant season are less likely to attract disease-carrying insects and spread bacteria and fungus.
