I bought this frame at a local market place. It was a in a pretty decent shape for its age. It has one of the most beautiful carving styles that you can find here.

I took it apart, threw away damaged beyond repair parts, stripped it down with paint thinner, sanded it with 120 and 180 grit, made some missing parts, used a lot of woodworm solution(just to be safe), used plenty of wood filler for the nail holes and small imperfections.
I used varathane stain in dark walnut and oiled based polyurethane.

This time I put a note in for the next person who might get his or her hands on it later on.
