Hello my Hardcore Brothers & Sisters. Please take this moment and read along with me. I’ve been around for awhile and I have had many ups and downs. This song is “Härd Sweetcöre” and it has a very special meaning to me. The first time I performed the original version was Live On Stage at Mysteryland, The 4th of July 1998. This era was one of my “ups” as well as one of my “downs” and I will explain. I was still riding high from my success of “Ecstasy, You Got What I Need" and that is a tough one to follow. During this time Hardcore was going through some changes. Labels were trying to get me to fit in this one sound; there is no way I was going to let that happen. I always want to make music that comes from my heart; I want to take chances. So I sat down and wrote “Härd Sweetcöre” because I stay true to what I believe. The lyrics I wrote were a clear representation of how I felt at that moment in time. I decided to make the debut of “Härd Sweetcöre” Live at Mysteryland and I really connected with the crowd. I knew they felt what I felt. Hardcore went through many phases over the following years and even almost died at one point. I never gave up though, no matter what life threw at me. Around this time I made a studio version of “Härd Sweetcöre” but I was never quite happy with it. I knew one day I would make a new version I was happy with when the time was right. Well, the time is now and the lyrics I wrote almost 20 years ago actually have more impact on where I am now in my life. You are about to feel the heart of Rob GEE.
