Right now, there should be no doubt in anyone's mind about the kind of leader President Traore is. From the day he stepped into power, he has been probing himself over and over again. And, every single time, he keeps standing true to his words and conviction as a true Pan-African leader. Recently, Traore declined Saudi Arabia’s offer to build 200 mosques in his country. Recently, President Traore of Burkina Faso received delegates from Saudi Arabia. Both countries have been deepening diplomatic ties in recent times. In 2024 for instance, Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Burkina Faso, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Dosari, met with the Director General of the Higher Institute of Civil Defense Studies in Burkina Faso at the Saudi Embassy.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Burkina Faso in the fields of civil defense, crisis management, and natural disaster preparedness.
