On 28 September 1971, ITN's Chris Wain reported on the use by the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) of a Second World War-era anti-tank "bazooka" in the Northern Irish capital of Belfast. Observing British Army troops being trained with the weapon at Army Training Centre Pirbright in Surrey, Wain reported that the latest addition to the Provisional IRA's arsenal represented a significant escalation in the threat level facing British forces in Ulster.
