Welcome to our 6th Member Mix of 2025 and the 5th Member Mix from Toni Rese out of Venice, Italy!!! Toni Rese has been music addicted from the late 70’s and always been a 'Vinyl Only' collector and DJ.
Toni describes himself as 'more listener than collector, more selector than Dj'.
Jazz is his main course but for appetizers and dessert he has added to his collection, Disco, Funk, Soul, Latin and a lot of 60’s dance culture records.
Toni says 'we need more music and less war'.
I was also lucky enough to meet Toni in Venice in 2023 and we spent 3 days walking, talking, eating, drinking, digging and playing a gig together in a fabulous little bar called Vinile Venicia.
I also visited Toni's place and got to check out his dj room and part of his fabulous collection of vinyl and I can vouch for its size and quality.
I hope you enjoy this deep dive into classic Italian funk, disco and boogie based 45s that were all new to me.
