Faust IV is a 1973 album by the German krautrock group Faust.
Faust (German: fist) are a German krautrock band. Formed in 1971 in Wümme, the group was originally composed of Werner "Zappi" Diermaier, Hans Joachim Irmler, Arnulf Meifert, Jean-Hervé Péron, Rudolf Sosna and Gunther Wüsthoff, working with record producer Uwe Nettelbeck and engineer Kurt Graupner.[1]

This is part 2 of track 5."Picnic on a Frozen River, Deuxieme Tableux from faust IV their 5th album, they don't separate the song of the album but they damn well should have because this second part of the song (quite distinct from the first part) is arguably one of the finest and earliest examples of truly exceptional electronic dance music ever created. You could put a hundred labels on it electro this techno that krautrock space trance whatever really but regardless its really a very very early example of mind blowing electronic Acid House. Faust can be a bit long winded / uber weird electro krautrock far from the highly organised precise kraftwerk. Don't get me wrong they are really very good and have vocal moments that are very beautiful but this second part of a song is by far and a way their best electro piece. I've gone a bit over the top in the description but just take that as a sign of my ultimate esteem for this track!

Enjoy!
