
There were several groups known as The Vows recording during the 1960's. This group known as The Vows, were based in Chicago and recorded the classic, Say You'll Be Mine, released on the Sta-Set label in 1963. Members of the group included lead singer, Larry Montgomery, tenors Joseph Buckner and Lawrence Bibbs, baritone, Berlyn Bynum and bass, James Sims. They also recorded on the Big 3 and Ran-Dee Records label in the early 1960's before one last release on Venture Records in 1967 that included a group name change to Major IV.
