Neil Diamond wrote his Crunchy Granola Suite when he moved to Los Angeles in the 1970s and got to know macrobiotic granola as part of a health-conscious lifestyle. The lyrics of this cheerful song even suggest that eating granola might just be more wholesome than a visit to a psychologist… The song became even better known when the renowned Percy Faith Orchestra turned it into an instrumental version.
