Kenny Sharp Uprising Tribute Mix

This weeks "Recycled" mix is tribute to "Uprising" the north of England's premier Rave event of the 90's and 00's (And still going today)

Throughout my late teens and early twenties this is where most of my weekends were spent, listening to fresh new music i'd never heard before each week and making great friends and memories (Some of which i'm still friends with today)

Uprising mainly played the best Hardcore, Techno and Trance music at the time but it was the MC's here that set the event apart, they were unique and mainly stuck to a handful of Raves in the area. These guys for many made the night and the music so special. Check them out on YT to get an idea.

This mix in particular is a tribute to the sets Kenny Sharp used to play at the time, where i'd never heard anything like it when i first got into the scene, Kenny Sharp and Mzone and Mark EG are the reason i got into the scene and the reason i love this music still today. This set is typical of what he played around this time and also some of my favorites that he played. Some tunes may seem faster the normal, they are pitched quiet high, this was the style then.
