Steve Marriott was one of the greatest talents to come out of the 1960s.
Before the Small Faces, he played the Artful Dodger in London's West End. He also released solo records and was with the group, The Moments.
In the mid 1960s he was at the forefront of the Mod movement in his band Small Faces.
At the end of the 1960s he teamed up with guitarist Peter Frampton and formed Humble Pie.
Humble Pie split up in the mid-1970s and after that Steve never quite managed to recapture his former glory.
In the mid-1970s Small Faces re-formed followed by a re-formed Humble Pie in the late 1970s. He was back on the road with another band, Packet of Three, in the mid-1980s. He never stopped gigging...
Sadly, he died in a house fire in 1991.
He was inducted with Small Faces/Faces in 2012.
