Kelly shared her story with lad bible and explained why she needed multiple surgeries to fix her nose
‘they actually had to cut up into my scalp and take the tissue and flip it down, there was a hole in the corner of my nose, it collapsed all the way into my face… my nose was flat… I snorted cocaine for 19 months’
Because the skin on Kelly’s new nose came from her scalp, she had to shave it.
‘Wish me luck, okay here we go. Oh it surely look too bad’
However, kelly explains how she ended up in this position. Saying that her and husband had an alcohol problem which had lead to her husband getting pancreatitis. He was then given a lot of narcotics from the hospital but despite that he went looking for pain relief from the streets.
Which onset their addiction to drugs. Sadly her husband passed away shortly after in 2016.
Kelly admits that it wasn’t ideal that she did the same thing as her husband but says that she was his primary health carer and was with him throughout his sickness and she also decided to partake in street drugs as she didn’t want him to feel alone. Adding that she didn’t know what addiction was at the time.
However things are looking up for Kelly as she says she has been sober since 2021. And leaves this message for people that might be battling with addiction.
