Initially inspired by the art of the Impressionists, Monika Gloviczki modernizes her paintings by incorporating elements of abstraction and reportage. While she often approaches her paintings with a scene in mind, she allows her instincts and imagination to take over. Her artwork can be described as a form of “silent music,” a symphony played by pigments to form a harmony of composition and color, a song describing deeper layers and moving beyond the banalities of everyday life to reveal what’s extraordinary.Gloviczki was born in Poland, but spent most of her adult life in Paris, where she earned her MD and PhD degrees and worked in the medical field. She has participated in several group and solo exhibitions around the world since dedicating herself to being a full time artist. She currently lives and works in Scottsdale, Arizona as a full time artist. She states that her new life in the US has expanded the sense of joy and freedom expressed in her art.
