This is how it happened. A man saw a street vendor selling street food and decided to approach her. There, he learned that she had given birth to a child in 2020, it was her second child.
Unfortunately, the child was born with issues, a rare genetic disorder. After 3 years of constant doctor visits and over $200k spent, the child still passed away.
The child was the result of her second marriage. After the child was born ill, her second husband left her. She has a child from a first marriage but the father passed away from an accident.
Now she sells street food to make a living and afford a life with her remaining son. It's a lot of street vendors' stories. Street vendor is not a glamorous job title. In fact, it's often a looked down upon job that no one appreciated. But it offers more flexibility in time so the parent can go take the child home to and from school.
She visits her child every 10 days and brings him food even though he can no longer eat. It's evident how heartbroken she is. The wound is still fresh. At 34 years old, most of her hair has turned white from the stress.
