I've never explained exactly what is happening in my tiny setup, that changes today. I'll walk you through my setup and show you why I've been loving making music with it! The TL:DR is I have something constantly recording as a "just in case." This is thanks to the SkipBack feature on the SP-404MKII. But most importantly, I have a machine (the Digitakt II) that is my catch all for my whole studio. Everything I play and make will eventually get recorded into that sampler which will play it back.
