
If you are finishing off a dish or using onions in their raw form, you need to have a very fine dice.
1. Chop the ends off your onion, cut it in half, and peel off the skin.
2. Start peeling away the individual layers of the onion.
3. Make slits in the onion (to resemble a comb) and try to keep them the same width as the layer of the onion.
4. Chop horizontally across the slits to get nice, fine pieces.
Learn to dice this way and you're sure not to look like a jack*ss at your next dinner party.
