Elvis was a big influence on the young Bob Dylan. Dylan’s quoted as saying of Elvis, “The first time I heard Elvis’s voice, I knew that I was not going to work for anyone and that no one would be my boss.”
“The highlight of my career? That’s easy, Elvis recording one of my songs”.
Elvis recorded my song, Tomorrow Is a Long Time.
They never met. Although, there is much speculation that Dylan’s song
Went to See the Gypsy – on New Morning is about a meeting of Bob Dylan and Elvis.
