The a-side didn't chart on the Billboard charts.
It did however make the "Looking Ahead**" charts on Cashbox, reaching #147. Very disappointing, but The Beatles had arrived.
At one point they held the first 5 positions in the Billboard charts.....times had changed. Fats' career as a hitmaker were definitely over.

*Kenner recorded the original version (as: "Something You Got") but it didn't too much; it failed to chart. But Kenner still liked the song and was determined to take it a little further. So, he approached Fats, hoping to persuade him to record it. That ought to get the song some attention. Domino agreed, with the proviso that he receive half the publishing rights and be listed as co-writer of the song. Kenner accepted the deal. Unfortunately, Domino was nearing the end of an incredible stretch of recording popular songs so it didn't bring Kenner too much (money). Still, an unusual recording for Fats. It should have been a hit!

Kenner was the first to record it, in 1961. It didn't chart as mentioned before. The biggest hit was done by Alvin Robinson. It hit #52 on Billboard's TOP100.
