◾️Potato juice
This is not harmful but don’t expect magic. Applying potato juice may help in making skin look slightly brighter but the results are not consistent. You can use cold potato slices on eyes as well to reduce puffiness which improves dark circles albeit temporarily.
Potato juice can be applied on the face with cotton pads. Left for about 25-30 mins and washed off it off. Apply moisturiser after this.
◾️Orange peel
Orange peel scrubs are a popular hack for tanning but please don’t use it. The particles are not uniform and they can cause superficial tears on the skin which leads to irritation and healing with dark spots.
◾️Watermelon rose water
Water and rose water both are nothing in the skin. You could dip a Colton ball and apply this mixture on your face . It helps in reduces irritation and. Makes face appear fresh. Blend chilled watermelon for better results.
◾️Coconut oil on body
Coconut oil is a good moisturiser on body skin if you have dry skin. Coconut oil on the face can be comedogenic so not recommended unless you have very dry skin.
Maxcare virgin cold pressed coconut oil is a good choice.
◾️Baking soda on face
Many hacks showing application of baking soda to reduce acne or to brighten skin. This should absolutely not be done as it can cause burns on the face.
◾️Yogurt and turmeric
This is an age old remedy which has been used for brightening skin. Yogurt can lactic acid which causes gentle exfoliation and thematic has anti inflammatory properties. Use organic turmeric not the one with artificial colour.
This pack can be left on the face for 10-15 minutes and washed off with cool water.
