- Here is a short clip from a longer film called New York Tidbits. In September 1980 a friend and I went into New York City with a Silent Super 8mm movie camera and shoot footage of just about everything we saw. Here we are on top of the World Trade Center (then referred to as the Twin Towers) shooting down at the streets below. We have footage of a helicopter in flight, the antenna on the other tower facing us, Wallstreet below, everything you'd expect to see from that roof. It was early in the morning and low hanging clouds make the visibility difficult at times. It still sends chills down my back to think that 21 years later that tower would be no more, and the fact that terrorists had been targeting these buildings for a long time makes me thankful I wasn't there on that fateful day. Still, I'd like people to view this as a tribute to an amazing structure, and enjoy seeing this footage to be reminded of what once was...If you like to see more of my work, check these out: &
