This is the first time I have setup all of my hardware with the eurorack system. Usually I have a limited space so have to carefully pick and choose my combinations per jam (which I would recommend anyway). It took a little while to get it setup and playing nicely together, but what a treat it was!

There were two stars from the show; Magneto and Digitone. Both are excellent for creating detuned/wow and flutter sounds.

This was a jam for the Facebook group, Hardware Jams. For the past few weeks we have been following a story which has taken us from a dusty old antiques shop through to outa space (in a club). I missed the fourth instalment, but here it is, part 5.

I'm not sure if it's because I have overheard the dolphin sample, but I like to think they are saying "We're here" …hence the title.

The challenge description:

The empath was calm and smiling the club lights were on and the many patrons were awake and leaving. Spaceships of all shapes and size were taking off so fast it looked like a laser show. You walk with Patrick though the crowd, receiving praises and high fives, sevens and sometimes even nines. Everyone seemed ecstatic except the martian in the bowler hat. Patrick explains that he is a council worker. Before you even know what that means he has accosts you. "I've never met anyone from blue dot before, I was lead to believe you were all a little... you know... silly"

You can't help but feel a little annoyed.

"I liked your jams and feel as if maybe we misunderstood you blue dotted ones, years ago we received a gold record full of what we assumed was human music. Unfortunately we didn't have a player. Is it possible you could write some blue dot themed music I can show to the other counsellors? convince them not to extract your air and water."

You wonder if you heard that right.

"It's ok It will be in 100 blue dot years when you are dead and it's only the fresh water.. oh make sure you add some animal noises. Got to have some creatures in your song that are a little less.... silly.
