Here is a ten minute thesis film I made for college. It was supposed to be a witchhunt epic like Witchfinder General but hideous weather and shooting conditions forced me to use a classmates screenplay and shoot this whole thing indoors. The initial drama between the Long Island man selling his soul to the Long Island Devil was shoot in 1987. The inserts involving the Zombie and murder were shot in 1989. By 1990 the whole thing was put together in the lab. Actor Paul richichi, who at the time we called Richichi the Uncanny, gives Joe Dallesandro a run for his money. His delivery has been the same in just about every film I ever made, which in turn makes him a steady and reliable actor. Not so much a good one, but a memorable one. He sure as Hell beats out any Tom Cruise movie in terms of entertainment value. This film, which I did not write, was obviously inspired by Angel Heart, with Mickey Rourke. But I loved Zombie films at the time so hence the walking corpse (that I did add). If you'd like to see more of this type of entertainment, it's part of the Cinefear Sampler, located on this page: . Dig Paul Richichi's nose...One of the scariest things in this whole film.
