Nikon asked me to take some time and test out the N-RAW image quality shot on the Nikon Z9 and see how it works within DaVinci Resolve. My thoughts: super impressive footage with lots of latitude.
So today I'll show you my workflow for testing new cameras, footage, and color grades when I'm deciding what camera to use for a project.
Hopefully this test of Nikon’s new camera will help you decide if it’s a camera worth looking into or even investing in.
Additonal info on testing footage from Nikon:
When checking the N-RAW image quality in DaVinci Resolve, go to the ‘Playback Settings’ screen on the software’s user settings screen.
Nikon recommends that you set ‘Performance Mode’ to ‘Disable’ or ‘Manual’ and uncheck ‘Optimize Decoding Quality’ before playing
