The stove arrived today so there was some exploration work to be done on the roof. The two Chimneys on the kitchen side both need to be blocked and access from below is next to impossible due to proximity of the buildings next door and the steepness of the roof. Got a small taste of the conditions that Dan over on @escapetoruralfrance is facing just north of here working on his new roof. I was lucky I was able to go back to the balmy 2 degrees in the house!-------------------------------------------
This is a daily vlog of our self-renovation of a French Townhouse which was originally built sometime in the 1930s. We left Ireland in August 2023 with our two kids and two dogs in search of a family home and these videos are a way to document the process for ourselves, as well as hopefully inspiring others to take on a similar project.
