Last week, Al Mezan sounded the alarm about Israel’s “escalated deliberate attacks on medical personnel and health facilities in Gaza, with the latest wave of attacks concentrated on Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, North Gaza.”

Since the start of the genocide, the Palestinian human rights group has documented what its director Issam Younis calls “unbelievable atrocities” in Gaza, including systematic attacks on healthcare workers and patients.

On today’s program, Younis tells us about the challenges faced by Palestinian human rights defenders who continue to document these crimes while themselves trying survive the genocide.

We also talk about the historic arrest warrants issued against Israeli leaders, and the role Palestinian organizations have played in supporting the accountability efforts at the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice.

This is a segment from The Electronic Intifada's day 425 livestream. Ali Abunimah, Nora Barrows-Friedman, Jon Elmer and Asa Winstanley were joined by contributor Donya Abu Sitta live from the Gaza Strip, as well as Issam Younis, the director of Palestinian human rights group Al Mezan.
