
Nigeria’s U19 women’s basketball team suffered a heavy defeat to Hungary at the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup, with the final score 77-51 in favour of Hungary. The Junior D'Tigress struggled offensively, shooting just 26.6% from the field compared to Hungary’s 37.8%. Nigeria made 17 field goals from 64 attempts, while Hungary converted 28 of 74 shots. Hungary also dominated from the three-point range, making 8 of 30 attempts, while Nigeria managed just 3 of 23. In the rebounding battle, Hungary collected 51 rebounds to Nigeria's 37. Tobenna Nweke led Nigeria’s scoring with 12 points, while Jessica Ajayi added 11 points. Hungary’s Josepovits K. was the game’s top scorer with 19 points.
