🍴 Feria Masticar Food Festival Experience | Street Food, Desserts & Argentine Wine 🇦🇷
🎉 Arrival at Feria Masticar: Argentina’s Ultimate Food Festival
We’re here at Feria Masticar—the highly anticipated food festival in Argentina! We skipped lunch and saved our appetites for a serious day of indulgence. There are endless food stands, desserts, local wines, and so much more to explore.
💸 How the Festival Works: Tickets & Entry
Payment System: Cash isn’t accepted at food stalls; instead, you buy “Feria Masticar” tickets at special booths (100, 50, 20, 10 peso denominations).
Entry Fee: Tickets cost us 150 pesos each (prices go up once the festival starts, so buy early if you can).
🦑 Foodie Highlights: Street Eats & Creative Flavors
🦑 Calamari Sausage
Unique twist on a local favorite—calamari sausage with pickled and fermented veggies (carrots, green beans, onions).
Taste: Surprisingly juicy, not chewy, and delicious with a tangy, slightly spicy sauce.
Price: 120 pesos.
Verdict: A must-try for seafood fans.
🥩 Chicito Sandwich
Japanese BBQ pork sandwich on flatbread, topped with pickles, apple, and cabbage.
Backstory: Tried this because our Airbnb host raved about it—and it lived up to the hype!
Flavor: Smoky, refreshing, with crunchy veggies.
Price: 150 pesos (most expensive dish at the fest, but worth it).
🍕 Obama Pizza
Pepperoni pizza New York-style with lots of cheese—quirky name, classic flavor, hits the spot.
🍝 Sarmientos (Lamb-Stuffed Pasta)
Lamb-filled ravioli topped with smoked mushroom sauce and sun-dried tomatoes, made by a family-run stand (Don Francisco).
Texture: Cheesy, meaty, earthy, decadent—one of the best pastas ever sampled at a festival!
Price: 150 pesos.
🍷 Wine & Drinks
Wine Sampling: Pay 60 pesos for a glass, then sample various local Argentine wines.
Process: Buy the glass first, then pay by the pour at different wine bars.
🍩 Dessert Round: Sweets & Treats
🥐 Churros with Dulce de Leche
Crispy outside, gooey dulce de leche inside, finished with a pinch of salt.
Super sweet, super Argentine. A festival essential!
🍦 Super Dulce de Leche Ice Cream
Ultra-rich and creamy—a sugar overload for anyone with a sweet tooth.
Pro tip: Eat fast before it melts!
Samuel-Approved: For “super people,” apparently.
🍔 Wild & Unusual: Final Gluttony Stage
🍔 Hamburger with Wild Hare
Unique protein: Wild hare burger—smoky, slightly gamey, definitely different from your average burger.
Verdict: A peculiar but worthwhile try—when at an Argentine food fest, go wild!
🏁 Festival Tips & Wrap-Up
Go Hungry: Portion sizes are generous, and you’ll want to try everything.
Plan for Sweet Overload: Save room for dessert—churros and dulce de leche are non-negotiable.
Buy Your Tickets Early: Entry price rises when the festival opens.
Sample the Wines: Affordable and a great way to try regional varietals.
Festival Value: Most dishes range from 120–150 pesos (about $3–$5 USD). High quality for a great price!
