Greenland's Prime Minister has said that he is ready to speak with Donald Trump about stronger cooperation, but talked down the President-Elect's idea of the U.S. controlling the island.
Instead, independence remains a top priority for the island, which is a semiautonomous territory of Denmark.
Donald Trump has also expressed a desire to takeover Canada and Panama in recent weeks. He says it's all in the name of national security.
