The Current State of the Cannabis Industry in the UK

Greg de Hoedt has been a lynchpin for the UK cannabis campaign for more than a decade. In 2010 he was given two years left to live due to his severe Crohn's Disease and travelled to the USA to access cannabis oil through their dispensary model. Greg then founded the UK Cannabis Social Clubs (UKCSC) on his return in 2011 which has played an instrumental role in raising the profile of cannabis legalisation on a social and political platform by working with MPs, police forces and local councils. This work inspired many others to follow the club model he authored and start their own in every county and even other countries. Greg is also the Editor for The Quarter Leaf magazine and has been regularly called upon to advocate for medical and recreational cannabis policy reform on TV, radio and national newspapers. Greg believes that the right to grow is paramount in any policy when it comes to ending cannabis prohibition. Greg now works for Releaf, a UK medical cannabis dispensary writing articles about all things cannabis and assists the company global product procurement.
