On a cold windy night ... he walked home through the town
He heard distant music..... as the mists swirled around
Then a lady appeared ... and she said “If you dare
Come follow me ......to the Hallowe’en Fair!”

As the swirling mists cleared he saw a ghostly fair ground
The music was louder and playing all around
All the rides were suspended, no people were there
Just tall spectral ladies with flowers and long hair

He remembers owls hooting and church bells ring
And the tall spectral ladies, starting to sing
They danced in the moonlight, and made love through the night
But the ladies and the Fair, were gone at first light!

They’d all been great lovers, under that moon
He’d kissed and caressed them, but they vanished too soon
Just drifting away, into thin air
Each leaving a rose and strands of long hair

Now did he just dream, of the Hallowe’en Fair?
Did he just dream that those ladies were there?
Whatever be the truth, none can explain
For the Hallowe’en Fair, was never seen again

But he still had the roses, and the strands of long hair
