Part three of how to play the bongos... Finally! I uploaded a couple lessons on bongo basics several years ago and did not get around to continuing this series. Well, here we are! In the previous two episodes I go over basic tones, a basic martillo pattern, how to hold the bongos, etc. To watch those videos simply go to my channel and look under the bongo lesson playlist. In this lesson I explore some ideas on the smaller head of the bongos. In part four we will go over some ideas on the larger head, as well as a couple music applications for the martillo rhythm outside of traditional Latin styles of music. Bongos in video:
