One of a growing selection of psalms with the 1856 tunes written in Somerset by Rev James Moreton, and sung with words written in 2009 in Oxford by his great-great-grandson.
ERROR CORRECTION : The highest note required by James Moreton for psalm 83 is F# as stated , but for psalm 136 (Gladness) it is G, NOT C as claimed in this video.
DISCLAIMER These Moreton psalms have no connection whatsoever with "Moreton Christian Assembly", also on youtube. That organisation is associated with Moreton-on-the-Wirral, near Chester; not with Moreton-in Marsh, which is in the Cotswolds near Oxford.
WARNING : THIS IS THE "DUNG PSALM". In your King James Bible (the Authorised Version) or your New English Bible, the dung is there. It's a strange little mid-19th century tune for this by the Rev James Moreton .
